Ans. I like courageous people and not cowardly people.

(2) Why do you like courageous people? (शूर लोक तुम्हांला का आवडतात ?)

Ans. I like courageous people because they only can take risk and put their ideas into practice to save society from any tragedies, disasters and misdeeds.

(3) How can we boost our confidence and courage ? (आपण आपला आत्मविश्वास व धाडस कसे वाढवावे?)

Ans. You must be positive your thoughts. Positive thinking, strong determination, strong will-power and motivation will build your confidence and courage.To boost our confidence and courage, you must have faith in yourself.

(4) According to you, who are more courageous, men or women? (तुमच्या मते, अधिक धाडसी कोण असतात – महिला की पुरुष ?)

Ans. According to me both mens and womens should courageous now days. Generally speaking men are considered as more courageous because of their physical strength and fitness. But nowadays many of the women show courage in different fields and situations.

(5) What situations / background provide us courage? [कोणत्या प्रकारच्या घटना / पार्श्वभूमी आपल्याला धाडस (करण्याची संधी) प्राप्त करून देतात ? ]

Ans. The situations like Careers, natural and man-made calamities, accidents, fires, earthquakes floods, battles,wars, animal attacks, epidemics, etc. which provide us the opportunity to show us our courage.

(1) ‘No, no! How will it help those poor people if you are drowned?’

(2) You cannot row in this storm. Do not try! A girl like

you, Grace, cannot do a man’s job. Let us pray for them, husband. God will help them, perhaps, but we cannot.

(4) Answer in short in your own word :

Ans. Grace stayed with her parents.

(b) A ship was wrecked that night.WHY ? (ते जहाज त्या रात्री फुटले होते. का ?)

Ans.Yes , Because of a terrible storm the ship wrecked upon the rocks.

(c) Nine men and women did not drown. WHY NOT ? (पुरुष आणि स्त्रिया मिळून नऊ जण बुडून गेले नव्हते. का?)

Ans. Because they could climb on to a rock and clung to it.

d) Grace said she would help her father to rescue. HOW? [ग्रेस म्हणाली ती (त्या लोकांना) वाचवण्यासाठी तिच्या वडिलांना मदत करणार. कशी ? ]

Ans. She would row with her father and reach the sailors to rescue them.

e) Using all their strength to row, they came there. WHERE? ( ताकद लावून ते वल्हवत तिथे आले. कुठे ? )

Ans. Nearer the rocks.

5) How can you, as a young student, help people in a terrible road accident. Write 5 types of action you can take. (एक तरुण विद्यार्थी म्हणून तुम्ही रस्त्यावरील एखादया भयानक अपघातात लोकांची कशी मदत कराल ? )

Ans:

1) Call the ambulance.

2) Call the nearby people for help.

3) Try to help them out of the disaster.

4) Bring injured persons to safe place.

5) Call the police.
